Side Effects

Side Effects is a card game where players compete to treat all the ailments of their psyche using medications and therapies.

Side Effects deals with drug use, personal demons, wild episodes, and more.

Players begin with four Ailment cards dealt face up in front of them (their "psyche") and four cards face down in their hand. In turn, players draw cards from the deck and try to find the right medications to treat their ailments.

A medication card cures one ailment but also exposes the player to new ailments (listed in that medication's side effects) from other players.

Each ailment card has a unique punishment that will be triggered by an episode card. Play an episode card on another player to hinder them or help yourself.

Side Effects ends when one player has cured all the ailments of their psyche.
