En Route - A Stroll & Write Game

En Route is a flip-and-write game where you create tourist routes to the most interesting sites in real cities (London, New York, Hong Kong, Paris, Cairo, and Rio de Janeiro) and the fictional First City, brimming with geek references. Each city has its own unique mechanics, making each one a distinct gameplay experience.

The cards aren't turned over randomly: the active player places one card face up, and then the two players next to them secretly choose one each. The active player then selects one of the two cards and discards the other. After that, all players use the coordinates and other information from the two remaining cards on the table to draw their tourists and routes.

As the game progresses, route segments are drawn, connecting different types of tourists to various sites and attractions. A game of En Route lasts exactly 10 rounds. At the end of the game, each point of interest on the final itinerary awards players prestige points according to its rules. The player who creates the most satisfying tourist route wins!

The game is characterized by constant and fairly intense interaction between players, who have a degree of control and can develop strategies. It's fast-paced and dynamic, requiring you to constantly think about what your opponents want to do (and sometimes even negotiate to get them to play cards that benefit you!).
